Street Food Heaven: Bangkok Markets
"Explore the chaos of Chatuchak Weekend Market with me (places we went to and places we WISH we went to"
Delicious Memory ✨
After diligently completing my Netflix homework AKA binge watching Street Food: Asia before moving to Hong Kong, I can now give you a COMPLETE written guide on the best street food in Bangkok with reviews. And yes, I call it homework, because that's how serious I am about my food when travelling.
P.S. I highly recommend watching the series if you want to travel anywhere to actually experience some of the best food on the planet. They also have a South America and USA edition for those interested in hitting up other continents. My continent of choice for this year was Asia.
My Bangkok Food Map
Chatuchak Market: Best mango sticky rice on earth
Floating Markets: Boat noodles served from actual boats
Khao San Road: Pad thai at 2 AM (tourist trap but so good)
What I Learned
The best vendors always have the longest queues of locals. If you see office workers in line at lunch, that's your cue. Don't be afraid of the plastic stools and lack of English menus - point and smile works universally.
Bangkok taught me that some of the world's best cuisine happens on street corners, served on plastic plates, eaten standing up while the city buzzes around you.
